I huffed. I took a great, big intake of breath and let it out in a sharp huff that telegraphed my displeasure. I shifted my legs so that my knees were to my chest, and I hugged them there so I could rest my chin on my knees.

I stared at him. I stared at him with all the strength I could muster, making my disappointment, my annoyance, my anger clear. I would just stare him down until he broke.

I could stare for hours.
